PlayBox Neo & eMAM Upgrade Thai TV5 HQ’s Playout Equipment
Thai TV5, one of Thailand’s leading broadcast companies, needed an upgrade. Their legacy system had become cumbersome to use and hampered workflow efficiency. They needed a solution that would help them access and manage media securely in multiple locations. Acquiring these features would be challenging, requiring a significant equipment upgrade at their studio headquarters in Bangkok. After some deliberation, Thai TV5 elected to go with a comprehensive media management solution powered by Playbox Neo and eMAM, installed with the help of PS & Sons (Thailand) Co Ltd.

In this solution, eMAM Enterprise ran on five or more servers to support 50 active defined users, but the package can actually scale to user counts in the thousands, all maintained through LDAP/Active Directory. Editors and designers can use panels inside Adobe Creative Cloud apps or an extension inside Apple Final Cut to access all eMAM’s tools designed to manage media, and collaborate seamlessly with eMAM web users.
Thai TV5 deployed AirBox Neo-20 for playlist scheduling; Capture Suite to optimize ingest workflow of television networks; and PlayBox Neo Multi Playout Manager (MPM) to operate channels via IP remotely.
